Hongming Shen

Hongming is a textile designer based in China and London, she has currently finished her master degree at Printed Textiles at the Royal College of Art.

With a background of digital printing, she is now exploring material surfaces, changing from 2D practice to 3D.

She discusses the relationship between nature and human, artificial and natural materials. Recently, she's researching about how human behavior and consumption damaged the environment. Therefore, she has been experimenting with how to present conflict and contrast, in order to to stir up ambivalence in the audience.
